Projects #34 & 35

Happy Friday,

It is so good to be back to card making. :)  These cards are pretty simple....but still so much fun to create.

Project #34-Note Card
I recently started researching kit clubs.  In the past I have belonged to several clubs including Club Stamp.  After looking at alot of website I think I may be headed back to Club Stamp.  So I pulled out some old Club Stamp supplies for these cards.

Supplies: Stamps (Autumn Leaves), cardstock, ribbon, clear embossing powder, ink, watercolor pencils, clear button, baker's twine, sentiment (Club Scrap) and pop-dots.

Project #35-Note Card

Supplies:  Stamps (Autumn Leaves), clear embossing powder, card stock, pattern paper (Club Stamp), sentiment (Club Stamp), Gelatos, baker's twine and pop-dots.

Projects #29-32

Hey Stampers!

Well it is 10:55 pm my time.  So let's see if I can get this posted before the clock strikes midnight and it turns from Friday to Saturday.  I had a lot of fun with these stamp sets.  I managed to use all but one set...and I am good with that. :)

Project #29-Happy Birthday

Supplies: Stamps-Papertrey Ink (birthday sentiment), birthday candles (Stampabilities) and unknown (diamond background), cardstock, ink, embossing powder, brads, pattern paper, ribbon, metal rim tag and epoxy sticker.

Project #30-Thank You
This is probably one of my favorite cards of all time.  I love the colors and the feel of  the card.  I have been playing with Gelatos and used them on this card. They are really a cool product and I do recommend them.  As with many of the products and tools we use, practice makes perfect.

Supplies:  Stamps-Just Rite Stampers ( Harlequin Script Background and Fleur De Lis ), Spellbinders dies ( Labels #20), embossing powers, ink, Gelatos, cardstock and ribbon.

Project #31-Thinking of You 

I really like how this card turned out.  I was surprised to learn how much I enjoyed working with only two colors for the card....well three if you count the white. :) This flower set is fabulous to work with, I love how you can layer the stamps for a more dimensional look without adding extra bulk....cuz I add enough all on my own. :)

Supplies: Flower stamps (unknown, but I think it is Martha Stewart) and sentiment (Just Rite Stampers), card stock, pattern paper, Prima flower, ink, dies (sentiment tag-Spellbinders, tag-Cricut), brad and baker's twine.

Project #32-Just a Note
This card turn out just ok to me.  Sometimes things look better in my mind then in reality.  I hope I am not the only one who suffers from that affliction. :)

Supplies:  Stamps (birdcage-7 Gypsies, sentiment-Papertry Ink/Tiny Tags), card stock, chip board, dies (small tag-Papertrey Ink, large tag-Cricut, frame-Sizzix) ribbon, pattern paper, ink, snap, crackle paint, craft paint and embossing folder (Spellbinders).

Project #26: Happy Thoughts

Supplies: Stamps-Papertrey Ink (Fillable Frames Additions II), pattern paper-Basic Grey, card stock, ink, die-Papertrey Ink, oval punches, ribbon and Dew Drops.

Project #27-Quote Card

Supplies:  Stamps-Club Scrap and Just Rite Stampers (Spread Your Wings), ink, embossing powder, card stock, watercolor paper, photo corners, heart accent and Twinkling H2Os.

Project #28-2011: Year in Review Mini-Album

I was able to sneak in one additional stamp set this week. :) I created this album for an upcoming class-Big Ideas for Mini-Albums.  This class is now open for enrollment and it has an Early Enrollment Special.  Be sure to join me and six additional MCC instructors as we explore the world of mini-albums.

Project #14, #15 and #16

Happy Friday!

As it turns out I was correct.  I was able to get two cards done and only one home decor piece.  And I have not made my way to the mini album.....yet.  But I am happy with what I accomplished.  Like most of you, my life throws me many, many, many curve balls.  The cards this week are fairly simple.  Of course simple does not mean easy. :)


Project #14-Just Because Card

 

 Supply List: Stamp (Tim Holtz-Thank you to the poster who identified these.) ink, stencil (Crafter's Workshop), misting spray, cardstock, ribbon, sticker, die (Spellbinders) and distressing tool.

 Project #15-Quote Card

  

Supply List: Stamps (Papertrey Ink and Fiskars), die (Papertrey Ink), ink, Prima flowers, cardstock and brad.

Project #16-Home Decor-This piece was a lot of fun to create, but there were a lot of steps.

 

Supply List: Stamps (Papertrey Ink, Magnetic Poetry and See-D's), paint, stencil (Crafter's Workshop), embossing powder, heart dies (Tim Holtz and Papertrey Ink), lace, denim and pearls.

For those of you keeping track, this heart stamp is the one I wanted from Papertrey Ink and I could not resist. :)  But I am doing well in limiting my stamp purchases.

Projects #12 and 13

Happy Friday,

This week I am changing things up a bit.  So far I have been focusing on cards, and I have created one this week, but I also needed to work on other projects.  This week I am finishing up a 2013 desk calendar for my father.  Yes I am aware that is is already Feb.  But in my own defense, I will get the calendars to my parents earlier then I did last year. :)

Project #12: This week I used a number of stamp sets to create layer elements for my calendar pages.

 

Supplies: Stamps (Tim Holtz, 7 Gypsies, unknown), punches (circles and tags),  ticket die (Sizzix), ink, embossing powder, cardstock and pattern paper.

Below you can see one of the calendar pages and how I used the elements.  This is a great way to use stamps on your scrapbook pages.  I used a number of punches and dies to create the tags, clocks, tickets and circles.  This calendar design was part of a class I taught last fall, Gifts From the Heart.  Since we used it in a class I cannot show you the entire calendar.   This page is representative of all of the pages, they are simple and fast to create.  The whole calendar can be created in an afternoon.

 

Project #13: Thinking of You-I love these spiral stamps.....but they don't love me. LOL!  I found it very difficult to get a complete stamped image.  I opted to complete the card anyway and post it.  Sometimes things don't come out the way we had hoped.  I am choosing to make the blog about everything I create, the good, the bad and the ugly.  Still I love the stamps and will keep them.

Supplies: Stamps (Just Rite Stampers, unknown), die (Just Rite Stampers), cardstock, ink, trim and embellishments.

Recommended classes:

• Rubber Stamping: Terrific Techniques (Feb 14th)
• Rubber Stamping: Back to the Basics (April 18th)

Both of these classes have early enrollment specials, the sale on Terrific Techniques ends on Monday.  These are amazing classes that can really help you improve your stamping techniques.  I can also tell you this is the LAST time we will be offering these classes.  Glenda has other responsibilities to tend to, so we will be completely revamping the classes with a new instructor this fall.
