Free Seat Giveaway-Big Ideas for Mini Albums
Our 1st free seat giveaway is to a class I am helping to teach....Big Ideas for Mini Albums. I am so excited about this class. I can honestly say it has renewed my love of scrapbooking. I first started scarpbooking 13 years ago and my journey was very typical. I started with an album or two and a small stash of paper and stickers. Suddenly I had a small closet full of supplies and then it took over a full room. YIKES! I moved from 8.5x11 to 12x12 albums. I moved from a small point and shoot camera to digital to DSLR camera and had more pictures then I knew what to do with. And then at some point after the birth of our son and starting My Creative Classroom I completely stopped.
I knew I could not continue with yearly 12x12 albums. Where would I put them and what would I do with them. And if I am completely honest, I really do not prefer 12x12. I prefer a much smaller size when scrapbooking. I still had a desire to record our memories, but I had not idea how to proceed. I was in quite a pickle has I still had a room full of supplies. Thankfully my husband has a garage full of tools, so he really could not complain too much. :)
This lead to a long journey or trying new systems, reading books, looking at blogs and message boards, not finding a good system for me and then starting all over again. This class once again forced me to solve this problem. And I believe I have come up with a good solution for me. Best of all, I am scrapbooking again for the 1st time in years and having a blast! I had forgotten how much fun it can be. :) (And yes, my husband is very happy to see me using all those supplies again.)
Whew! That was long winded, enough about me and my journey. If you want to learn more then I suggest you join me for Big Ideas for Mini Albums. I will be sharing my system for yearly review mini albums. Plus six other MCC Instructors will be joining with some amazing albums of their own.
What is it about mini-albums?! They are so fun to create and to look at. They can be almost addicting.
Maybe it is their size or the freedom they evoke. They can be made from almost anything. Sizes can range from teeny tiny to 8x8 and everything in between. They can be detailed works of art or simple smashbooks. I must admit they are my favorite form of scrapbooking. Join me and six additional MCC Instructors as we explore the world of mini-albums. Click here to view the full description. Enroll today and get in at the Early Enrollment price!

Me me me me me! This sound like such a great class. I've never had much luck making mini albums, but my husband loves the ones our niece makes for her kids. And, the great niece made one at Easter, so I really need a boost in this department.
ReplyDeleteBack in the day when 6x6 albums were available, I was a newcomer to scrapbooking, and loved focusing on only one -or- two photos per page. Would love instruction in using the Zutter Bind-It-All ! ! !
ReplyDeleteI have yet to start scrapbooking with the tons of pictures I have. Making a large scrapbook never looked like fun to me plus there is the storage issue. Making mini albums sounds like something that would be doable for me and not take hours of time to do.
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn how to make mini albums more meaningful. I do 12x12 because I feel I need to scrap all my photos. I feel mini albums would make me choose my photos better.

I think I could handle mini albums.
ReplyDeleteI love making mini journals, so a mini album is almost the same thing! How wonderful to have so many different ideas, from all these teachers, in one class!
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn to make mini albums because with the big albums, I wind up making lots of "pages" but never quit get the albums together for some reason. Small albums might be incentive to finish one!
ReplyDeleteLove mini albums. They are fun to make! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI, too, do not like the 12x12 albums, they seem overwhelming to me! I have done a couple of 6x6 & 8x8 in the past, but would love new inspiration to use some (I am sure not ALL) of my photos! They would make such wonderful little mementos for the fun things in life. Thanks for the chance to win a seat!
ReplyDeleteMini albums are great because I actually finish them. The only 12x12 album I ever attempted is still unfinished after 13 years!
ReplyDeleteI like to make mini albums, although I also enjoy 12x12, 8x8, one offs and anything I can find to create :)
ReplyDeleteI just love mini albums, they are so much fun to make. I am always after new ideas for making these! Thanks for the chance to win
ReplyDeleteI'm an oldie in life but a newbie to mini books. Having bought Donna Salazars Creative books one and two. I am really looking forward to learning all I can about making mini books.
ReplyDeleteI love to make mini albums because the smaller area isn't so intimidating. It doesn't take too much to make them look really good.
ReplyDeleteI do love mini albums and have done several. But a problem is that I never seem to have the pictures right at hand when I'm done! However, that said, I am always excited about a chance to learn more, and would love to win a free 'seat' to this class!
ReplyDeleteThis would be so much fun! I do love mini albums. I have made several for gifts. They make great "event" albums that you can give to someone, completed, without having to spend a huge amount of time. Thanks so much for the chance to win a spot in this class!
ReplyDeleteI like mini albumns because you can make a big impact with minimal supplies. They are fun to give as gifts, just layout on the table, stash in your purse, take to work, etc. Mini's are just fun to make. This class is one I'd love to take. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great class. I would like to win a seat.
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing up this class so would love to win a free seat :)
ReplyDeleteLike you, I'm not big on big pages. I've been creating mini books of all sizes for years, it's fun. That's why I bought a Bind-it-all. I'd love a seat to learn something new! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have made several mini albums to give as gifts and now is the time to get more of my own pictures scrapbooked. I would love to win a seat to this class!! I am always looking for new ideas and techniques to try. Thanks for the chane to win!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great class that I will take even if I don't win it.
ReplyDeleteI have never made a mini album before, always the 12x12 that is how I learned, and never looked back. But I must say I am intrigued, very intrigued by your description! It looks like it would be very interesting and I know some of the teachers, so I know the class would be first rate! Thanks for the chance for a free class. Cathryn Paterson-Seguin
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this class as I don't usually make mini albums as they seem to be a bit harder to pull it all together then the "normal" 12x12 ones. Thanks for the opportunity~
ReplyDeletePlease count me in for the chance to win a seat in this class.
ReplyDeleteYeah, mini albums, and lots of ideas! Lots of family to gift.
ReplyDeleteThis would be great fun.
Mini albums intimidate me because of their small size! I'm not sure how to make them work, so this class would definitely be good for me.
ReplyDeleteShine n!

Your story sounds like mine!! Except, I have 11 full 12x12 albums and none are in any order but one which was the senior year for the last 2 of 6 kids. I didn't think I would like mini-albums, but I was given the task of designing one for my LSS and that was fun and then I saw a cool way of doing a mini-album with lots of room for pics and I was hooked. I haven't done a yearly review one, but I like the fact that each one tells one story! I'd love to win, but I'll take the class anyway.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great way to get my scrapbooking mojo going again.
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums. Sounds like a wonderful class.
ReplyDeleteI love 12 by 12 so you can get all your photos on and have room to spare but room for the albums I don't have so mini albums must be the answer!
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of mini albums is great for gifts at any time of the year. I am still in the process of making one so I would love to get some ideas.
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums! Pretty soon, I will need to find a place to put them!
ReplyDeleteI love books and in particular mini books either journals or albums. I've made a few and swapped a few but.... I have a block when if comes to putting pictures in them or journaling. Got great ideas when I start out but sometimes the books are just to precious to put pen to paper. I need help!
ReplyDeleteI love mini's but somehow never seem to be brave enough to try many of them. One album with one theme seems a daunting process. So this would be a great class to win. Thanks for all you guys do.
ReplyDeleteOh I like the idea of mini albums !! But I need inspiration as I have LOADS of bits and bobs !!
ReplyDeletehugs Diane xx
The mini albums sound like fun to me. So it should be me me me. Thank you for sharing and I have takenln several classes and loved them all.
ReplyDeleteYah...mini albums. I love them and have made a few for special events such as birthday, anniversaries and an ultrasound book of my 1st grand daughter. What I love about mini albums the best is that they are easy to store because of their size and fun to share as a gift. I am always looking for new ideas and ispriatoin.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I love mini albums and have made several of them, always as gifts. I love to see new ideas and things to inspire me. I plan to make several for myself this year.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE making mini albums and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MCC! Would love to win the seat...thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI love the minis... it is all I do.. for gifts and for friends. I love creating them from the ground up... binding, embellishing.. I have some that yet need pictures! Thanks for the opportunity
ReplyDeleteI love making mini albums but always lking for more ideas.
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn about making mini -albums! They look like so much fun and that they can be completed ; ) thanks for the chance to play!
ReplyDeleteI used to make mini albums to give as gifts. Then I joined some design teams and lost time to make them. It became all about deadlines and 12x12 layouts. Now that I have time again is love to make some albums again. Just need a jump start. Lol
ReplyDeleteI love making mini albums. They are easy to complete and the possible themes and subjects are endless! Thanks for the chance for a chance to win a seat in this cool class!
ReplyDeleteI love creating mini albums because they are short and sweet. They are easier to start and complete. It is a great gift idea! People love that you spent your time and talent to make something so unique for them. I use most of the ones I create as gifts to celebrate special occasions or personal milestones.
ReplyDeleteI really like minis but I'm never sure what to do with them. I typically scrap events on 12x12s so minis just don't match my normal style. I'd love to get some ideas how to use these in conjunction with my traditional scrapbooks.
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums! They are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I love the idea of making mini albums because they are perfect for all the little school, dance, sports, etc. pictures friends and family give you through the years. How about you turn around and give them back to them in a beautiful keepsake!
ReplyDeleteI do mini albums on occasion to document one event or something. Too many photos to do a page or two, so why not do a mini album. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums because I think I'll get the pictures off the camera and into a book. This looks like a terrific class with lots of different approaches to mini albums!
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums because you can totally choose what you want the album to be made of and the subjects are endless. It can be simple or wild and crazy. I feel more boundaries when making a 12x12 or 8x8 album and absolutely none when making a mini. I also love that the mini can be a single event or theme. Since I love minis so much and my life is really crazy right now, I would love to win. cheriemcguire49
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Love those minis. They are an excellent choice for a quick gift and I use them for certain events I want highlighted separately from my main albums.
ReplyDeleteLove those mini albums!
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums, especially for event specific projects. They are quick to finish, which gives me a sense of accomplishment too!
ReplyDeleteI have never done a mini album before and just the thought makes it scary!
ReplyDeleteI just love Mini books for gifts, they make wonderful family mementos when given to people after a gathering. I also like to make them for day trips with the kids. Seems it ok to put a whole bunch of photos even the not so good one in a mini. Because you are really trying to showcase the days events, and document the laughs the family had.
ReplyDeleteMini albums are such a wonderful to highlight a specific event and are such wonderful gifts to give. Easy to share, look through and carry with you when traveling. A little love to slip into a loved ones bags if they will be away for a while. I sent them with hubby when deployed for 6 months at a time. Perfect traveling companion:)
ReplyDeleteI don't make a lot of mini's but would love to learn more about it.
ReplyDeleteI so love mini albums. So fun and so much easier to make. I think it's a lot more fun to just use a smaller album for one theme. thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeri, I would love to win this class. I make lots of cards but have only made a couple of wooden/Chipboard albums without great success. Thanks for the opportunity to win this class.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy making mini-albums...they are freeing...no preconcieved notions! Thanks for letting us play :)
ReplyDeleteBeing a shortie myself, I think many things come in small packages including mini albums!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the result with mini albums but have problems with the designing part.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, looks like a fun class.
ReplyDeleteWow... another great class offering... So many classes... so little time! Thanks for the giveaways... it is always fun to imagine winning something! SuSu in SoCal
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love mini albums. I can finish one of them but the big ones get so far and then I get bored with it, maybe not bored but overwhelmed. Would love this class.
ReplyDeleteLooks like another fun class and another great giveaway. I'm always looking for quick and simple projects and would love to learn how to make a mini album. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI am new to scrap booking! well, actually I haven't done one yet...I really really want too but I am intimidated by the size. A mini book seems more "do-able"! I would love to take this class and use some of the supplies that I have gathered!
ReplyDeleteI love mini albums as they represent a particular time or event and are easily viewed.Great fun to make too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win a class, it would be me 1st! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun - I need something a little easier to keep me motivated!! I have way to many years to get done!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this class. 12 X 12 are too intimidating to me I have started a couple but didn't finish. Mini albums could be done with smaller celebrations. like a birthday mini album, or an Easter 2013 mini album. Seems more my speed. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteoh i love mini books and would love to win this class. thank you for the chance
