I finally have a few minutes to post my final projects. I am soooooo happy I made it to 100+ projects. It For makes me really optimistic for 2014. For my final projects I focused on home decor. I love having a few pieces to add to my Christmas decor.

For these two projects I also wanted to finally overcome my fear of Mod Podge. I have long had a love/hate with this product. But I think I have finally master it and I am excited to explore even more options and possibilities.

Feeling a bit sad today. This is one of my final posts for this blog. It has been a wonderful year. I have been more creative in 2013 then I have been in years....and that feels really good. So let's take a look at some of the final stamps I will be using. You will notice I have included two stamp sets from last week. I start projects with these stamps last week, but did not complete the projects in time for Friday's post. I also added one new set from Stampers Anonymous.

Only one project to share today....but still inching closer to the goal of 100 projects. I have a few more in the works, but was unable to get them completed.

This is one of favorite times of the year, as I imagine it is for many of you as well. I love the cooler weather, the fireplace, the cheesy Christmas movies, the decorating, the planning, the food and the gift giving. My most favorite part of the holiday season is the planning. The searching for the perfect gift, no matter how big or how small. I have learned that the planning is actually more fun to me then the big day. Don't get me wrong, I love giving the gift, but I have realized how fun the rest of it is too. And I allow myself to feel the full enjoyment of the hunt. :) So let's just say I have been busy hunting the week.

Project #98: Believe
As promised I did a card with a bit more detail. I think this card is a happy medium between CAS and Everything But the Kitchen Sink. (Hmmmm....I think I just came up with a new card name: EBKS.)

Supplies: Stamps (Tim Holtz/Border-Classics #3 and Ticket Boarder), card stock, pattern paper, Prima Flowers, ribbon, trim, pearls, i-Top brad, Snow-Tex, ink, embossing powder, corner punch (Martha Stewart), Perfect Pearls and Perfect Medium, pop-dots and Mod Podge. Whew....that is quite a list. :)

See you in the classroom,
Unbelievably, I actually know who makes each of these stamp sets. And they are not even new. I think that is a first. :) It is looking like it will be a fun week as I also happen to love all of these stamps. My head is brimming with ideas.

It is time to share some work. I was lucky to find some extra time to be creative over the Thanksgiving week. It was a very productive week. None of these cards are very complicated, but as I have stated before I am learning to appreciate the simpler side of things. :) Plus I am so close to my magical number of 100 projects, I can almost taste it.

Project #91-Live, Laugh, Love
I received a new Club Scrap kit.....Fire and Ice. Totally LOVE this kit. Love the colors, patterns and stamps. I used the kit for the first two cards. The card below is a direct 'lift' from their Club Scrap newsletter.

Supplies: Stamps (Papertrey Ink/Sentiment), card stock, pattern paper (Club Scrap), ink, die (Papertrey Ink and Just Rite Stampers), ribbon and rhinestones.

Project #92-Quote Card
My favorite stamps from this set are the circle stamps. I can see getting a lot of use out of them. :)

Supplies: Stamps (Club Scrap), dies (Spellbinders), ink, embossing powder, Gelatos, card stock and fibers.

Project #93: Note Card
My embossing kick has continued this week. :)

Supplies: Stamps (Unknown), card stock, paint, ink, embossing powder, card stock and brads.

Project #94: Hello
This is one of my favorites from this week. Why? Because I used one of 'those' tools for this card. You know the type of tool I am talking about. One you buy cuz it was a good deal, but then it sits in a drawer. I used my Making Memories Tag Maker for the card. Even better, I used a sticker! I hardly ever use stickers and I don't have very many left in my stash, but it sure was fun to use one. :)

Supplies: Stamps (Postcard/Unknown and Sentiment/Papertrey Ink), card stock, pattern paper, tags, brads, border punch, sticker, ink and rhinestones.

Project #95: Note Card
Note sure about this card. It looked a lot better in my head. LOL! Still, you know I am going to show it to you anyway. Sometimes it just does not work out the way you planned it. That happens to all of us. :)

Supplies: Stamps (Vintage Image/Unknown and Sentiment/Papertrey Ink), die (Spellbinders), misting spray, old toothbrush, ink and pearls.

Project #96: Holiday Cheer
I used a lot of items this week that I don't usually use. On this card I used gold/glitter embossing powder. I am definitely NOT a gold or a glitter girl, but it just felt right for this card. Very, very pleased with the result. :) But don't think that means I will be going out to buy a bunch of glittery. No way!

Supplies: Stamps (Background/Unknown and Sentiment/Papertrey Ink), dies (Spellbinders), embossing folder (Spellbinders), ink, embossing powder, card stock, brads and pop dots.

Project #97: Quote Card
This card was so simple to make.....but I totally LOVE it!

Supplies: Stamps (Club Scrap), ink, paint and card stock.

Whew! That is a lot of cards. It is such a good feeling when I get in a creative zone. Even better when I have the time to stay in the zone.

Thanks for stopping by!
It is time to talk about stamps. This week I am keeping it simple. I plan on doing some major lifting. :) Sometimes a girl has to to what a girl has to do. It is so busy with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought I would make it easier this week.

Woohooo! I am soooooo going to make to 100 projects. That is amazing for me. And it does not even include what I did for classes. It has been a good year and it has really reignited my love of crafting. Sometimes a little change can make a huge difference. And lead you down new and exciting roads. :)

This week we continue to focus on Thanksgiving. I have a secret to share with you. I get a special thrill from using really old supplies. Those items you think you will never use and wonder if you should actually keep. I am also huge fan of purging. I think you should only keep what you truly love. But after several moves and a ton of purging, I am ready to keep my remaining stash. After a year of limited spending I am having a blast pulling from my current stash. And the more I use it the more I am inspired to utilize all of my older supplies. I am reminded why I purchased them in the 1st place and I don't feel like I just wasted money on stuff I will never use. Next year one of my big focuses will be my Cricut. I am finally going to win my struggle with that machine!

If you read my last post then you know of my love for Thanksgiving. The food, the family, the food, the football....did I mention the food? :) This week I focused on home decor. These projects took a bit longer to create then I was anticipating. Lots of drying time. So only two projects this week.

I finally have my projects from last week ready and uploaded. :) I love fall projects, especially Thanksgiving. I always think that Thanksgiving is a forgotten holiday. We head right from Halloween and run to Christmas. And this year that seems even more true as stores are starting the sales earlier and earlier.

It is one of my favorite holidays...and not just because of the food. Oh the food is very, very good. I think it is one of my favorites because there is no presents, no expectations, no costumes or fancy clothes. In our home it is a time to spend with family and friends. So for the next few weeks I will be celebrating Thanksgiving.

Project #83
In both of there projects the stamps can be hard to time. I like it when the stamped image becomes a part of the design. So much so that it blends in seamlessly. While the the pumpkins do stand out. There is another stamped image on the tag itself....a beautiful decorative image frommy club stamp kit. To complete there projects I had to add in some additional stamps not included in last weeks posts. But hey, the more the merrier.

Supplies: Stamps (Club Scrap: Lock & Key/Just Rite Stampers: Autumn Blessings), pattern paper, shipping tag, watercolor pencils, flowers, ribbon, ink, brads and dies (Spellbinders).

Project #84
The sentiment is obviously a stamp. But so is the orange canvas in the background. :)

Supplies: Stamps (Club Scrap: Lock and Key/ Just Rite Stampers: Nature's Nested Sentiments & Baroque Nested Frames), shipping tag, Sticky Backed Canvas ATC card, card stock, patter paper, flowers, felt leaves, trim, ink, rhinestones, dies (Just Rite Stampers), ink and Gelatos. Whew....that is a lot for a one project. :)

Here are both tags in their home. A picture frame that sits on my mantle.

Better late then never. I think that is how the saying goes. So it is not Monday, but Tuesday is a great day to talk about stamps. Along with Wednesday, Thursday, Friday....actually, any day that ends with the word day works for me. :)

You will notice a couple of repeats from last week. Plus two new additions. The Tim Holtz set is actually a brand new addition to my stash. I finally found these babies on sale and just could not resist.

It's Monday and that means stamps. :) Halloween is almost come and gone, so I am moving on to Thanksgiving. Or at least I was hoping too. Turns out I do not have one single leaf stamp. How is that possible. I did find one unopened stamp set that has some small leaves, so I will use those this week. Plus is it fun to use an unopened set.

I also have a brand new Club Scrap kit...and it is sooooo beautiful. I can't wait to work with it.

It's Friday and that means it is time to share our work. As I mentioned in my last post I was going to move from creating cards to tag art and home decor. I am often stuck by how different each art form is. I was feeling very comfortable with my card making abilities. I could pull a new card together quickly and easily. Now fast forward tot this week....and UGGGG it was such a struggle. :) I had to redo the 2nd tag a couple times to get it close to what I had hoped for. I know most tag art has a vintage look to it, but I was feeling colorful for a change. I am sure next week I will summon my inner vintage as I create more tag art.

Project #80-Home Decor
I actually made two of these frames as we have been busy decorating for Halloween. Next week I will switch to Thanksgiving.

This week was very productive. I was once again reminded of something I learned this past year.....less is more. No, I don't mean ever card should be simple. I mean having few choices makes us more creative. Really, it is true. :) Research actually shows the fewer choices we have the more easy it is for us to make a decision. I find this to be very true when working with my Club Scrap kits. I am way more creative with limited choices. This is a topic we will be exploring even more in 2014.

Project # 74-Note Card
I used Club Scrap materials in all but the last card. The 1st three cards feature the stamps I received with the kit.

Supplies: Stamps (Club Scrap/Take Wing and Papertrey Ink/Signature Greetings), card stock, ink and Twinkling H2Os

Project # 75-Note Card
I must confess this card is a 'lift'. With each Club Scrap kit we receive a newsletter with ideas and tips. This card is a copy of one featured in their newsletter. The sentiment is a bit crooked, but I did not have time to go back and make a 2nd card. :)

It's is Friday and that means I have projects to post. :) Very happy with my progress this week. I used two stamp sets that are a bit harder for me to work with and one that was super easy. I am pleased with the results.
Project #73-Thank You

This card is for a set of thank you cards we will need for my son's science fair project. For those of you who have been paper crafting for a long time you may remember a company called Keeping Memories Alive. They were one of the 1st companies to offer non-themed pattern paper. I still have some in my stash...I just could not let go of it. Thankfully, it worked perfectly with this set of cards. :)

So I guess it is going to be a mulligan this morning. I would normally feel bad about this....it has been quite a month for me. But I imagine most of you deal with the same issues. Life gets so busy somethings just must take a back seat. And maybe that is the point of the blog. My goal for this year was to inspire you to keep moving forward. Sometimes it is at a snail's pace, but I am still moving forward. :)
I make a lot of my card for the cancer kids my nephew has cancer and has been going to Texas for treatment and I sent two boxes to him to take there. Now he is getting his treatment in Chicago Cancer center so the next bunch and they are adding up quickly will go to him. I save some to send to friends and relatives but not a lot of them, I make little boxes and decorate them and put 6 cards in for gifts as well. I would love to take one of your classes.

Join My Creative Classroom as we celebrate World Card Making Day with a brand new class....Simply Cards!
10 MCC instructors have come together to share our love of card making.
Handmade cards are a wonderful way to celebrate any special occasion and send a bit of
love through the mail. At a time when email, texting and twitting fill
our lives the simple act of send a card is almost a forgotten art.

Yet,
I am often reminded how special sending a card can be. There is nothing
like seeing a handwritten envelop mixed in with the bills and junk
mail.

Each instructor will share three card creations with you.
All centered around a specific consumable like stickers, flowers or
ribbon. Click here for more information.
